A chase is going on between students agitating for quota reform and Chhatra League in Sciencelab area of the capital. This incident happened on Tuesday (July 16) around noon.
It is known that around 12:30 noon today, hundreds of students of City College, Ideal College and Hamdard College protested by blocking the road. At this time, the protestors took a stand at ScienceLab intersection and raised slogans against the BCL attack on the quota reform activists.
At that time, when the Chhatra League activists came forward from the direction of Dhaka College, the protesting students chased them. After that, the chase of the students started with the Chhatra League.
In this incident, traffic has been stopped on both sides of Mirpur Road. Because of this, severe traffic jam has occurred in that area. Additional police have been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward situation.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) of Ramna Zone said Shah Alam. Aktarul Islam told the media that the students are chasing each other. Adequate police force has been deployed.
