Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “Freedom fighters have been disrespected and deprived of their privileges at various times. I want the people of the country to respect the freedom fighters for ages. Freedom fighters should always be given the highest respect.
He said these things at the Prime Minister Fellowship Award-2024 main event at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday morning.
Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Freedom won by the blood of lakhs of martyrs can never fail. No matter which party the freedom fighters belong to, they should always be given the highest respect.
The Prime Minister said that the government is trying to ensure that women, minorities and disabled people are not left behind.

He said, the children of our country are the most talented. They have to create opportunities. That is our duty. We want to provide that opportunity. That’s why I started the fellowship.
The Prime Minister said, I know that many people are not in support of our party. Other places have gone or many may have many things. Where it goes is not my concern. My opinion is that they sacrificed their utmost and defeated the enemy and brought victory. In that case, I think their honor will be the highest.
Prime Minister Fellowship was launched in 2018 to enhance the capacity of government employees, teachers, researchers. Under this, in 2024, 37 Masters Fellows and 11 PhD Fellows have received higher education opportunities in top local universities of the world including America, United Kingdom, Australia. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave them the fellowship award at her office on Tuesday morning.
The Prime Minister said in his speech that the government emphasizes on research in various fields including science-technology-agriculture.
The Prime Minister also said that the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Award will be brought under the trust so that no one can cancel it in the future. He said, for this, a fund of 5000 crore rupees is required.
The head of government assured to prepare the youth to face the fourth industrial revolution.
