Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the current students are claiming to be Razakars because they do not know history. The Chief Minister said this at the signing of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the fiscal year 2024-25 and the presentation of the Purity Award on Monday (July 15).

The Prime Minister said, the spirit of the liberation war is our main goal. Millions of martyrs have shed blood. Millions of mothers and sisters are victims. Their contribution should not be forgotten. It should be remembered. The manner in which the Pakistani invasion forces, the Razakar forces have tortured the people of this country is not to be forgotten.

The Prime Minister also said that these days the students of Rokeya Hall say they are Razakars. Do they know what happened there on March 25 of 71? 300 girls were killed and 40 girls were raped. Not only that, they were taken to the camp and tortured in various ways. They were brutally tortured constantly.

The chief minister said, unfortunately now I hear that nowadays girls also chant slogans called Razakar. What country is it we are in? What lessons did they take, what did they learn – that is the question now.

The Prime Minister said, Liberation War is our pride. At the call of the father of the nation, people left their homes and went to the battlefield, giving up the illusion of life and bringing victory. We must remember this history.

He said, few people do corruption, the entire government is discredited. Without top-down accountability, no job gets done right. Therefore, accountability must be ensured first. Action will be taken against those who commit corruption.

He further said that if good governance is ensured and economic disparity can be removed, the goal of Smart Bangladesh will be achieved. If we proceed with a specific plan, we can achieve all the goals.
