Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced the aid of one billion to Bangladesh
Chinese President Shi Chinping has expressed strong conviction that these four types of economic facilities – Grant or Support, interest -free loan, consolation or exemption loans and commercial loans – Bangladesh. He expressed this at a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday afternoon in the Great Hall of Beijing.
At the same time, the Chinese president himself said that about 1 lakh Rohingya, who have taken refuge in Bangladesh, have given maximum assistance in the deportation of Myanmar. He has promised to talk to the Myanmar army and the Arakan army team when needed.
Meanwhile, China’s Premier Lee Chiang Bangladesh has announced the assistance of one billion Chinese coin RMB (around Tk 1,000 crore). Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said this at a news briefing at the St. Regis Hotel in Beijing yesterday. Prime Minister’s Private Industries and Investment Advisor Salman Fazlur Rahman MP and Press Secretary Naimul Islam Khan were present at the briefing.
The Prime Minister met with China’s Premier Lee Chiang yesterday morning and with President Xi Chinping in the afternoon.
Through this, the Prime Minister’s visit to China ended. The Prime Minister was supposed to leave for Dhaka this morning. But Sheikh Hasina returned to Dhaka after the formality of the visit to Sheikh Hasina due to illness of the girl Saima Wazed.
Responding to a question from journalists in Beijing, Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said the Prime Minister’s visit to China was successful.
At the Chinese President’s meeting, Sheikh Hasina led the development of Bangladesh unprecedented and said Chinese assistance would continue. Shi Chinping said they were ready to make the celebration meaningful by upgrading the relationship in the second phase of the 7-year anniversary of China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations in 2021.

The Foreign Minister said they said they were going to import mangoes from Bangladesh. They also started experimenting on importing two fruits of jackfruit and guava.
Hasan Mahmud said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized on leather products, jute products, drugs, ceramic and other products. They also expressed interest. They said more products will be imported from Bangladesh.
The Foreign Minister said the two countries have expressed interest in establishing world peace and the welfare of humanity in a meeting led by Sheikh Hasina and China’s Premier.
Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said the Prime Minister sought China’s cooperation in joining BRICS. She said that the Prime Minister has said that in any format, that is, BRICS, the way the BRICS decides, the Prime Minister has called for the inclusion of Bangladesh. China said he would support the case.
Hasan Mahmud said that since Bangladesh is about to grow from the underdeveloped countries to developing countries in 2021, the benefits that Bangladesh is now getting, will continue to seek China’s assistance in 2022, at least 2021. China’s Premier has responded positively in this regard.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Beijing on Monday at the invitation of China’s Premier Lee Chiang. This is Sheikh Hasina’s first visit to China after last January elections.
Earlier last year, Sheikh Hasina held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Chinping at the 5th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. During the visit of Shi Chinping to Dhaka in the 21st, the relations between the two countries were upgraded to the ‘strategic partnership of cooperation’. This time it is said to promote the ‘broad strategic cooperative part’.
