Hamas senior official Ihab Al Gusain was killed in an Israeli airstrike
Four people, including Hamas senior administrative officials, were killed in an Israeli airstrike at a school in Gaza. According to a Palestinian source, the BBC said in a report on Monday (July 7th).
Local officials told the BBC that the deceased was identified as Ihab Al Gusain. He was appointed three months ago to conduct activities in Gaza City and North Gaza.
Israeli army said a school building in Gaza City was attacked. Many members of Hamas were hidden there and carried out activity.
Eyewitnesses said the Holy Family School was attacked at the Holy Family Church in West Gaza. Many people took shelter in this building.
Ihab al-Gussain previously served as the Deputy Minister of Hamas administration and later appointed as a spokesperson for the Home Ministry. As a result of his vision, he was appointed to the administrative post of Hamas.
According to the BBC report, many Hamas administration officials have been killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza in the last nine months. Hamas’s deputy cultural minister and deputy speaker were killed in Israeli airstrikes in November last year.
Israel has been conducting retaliation attacks in Gaza, Palestine since October 1 last year. More than 3,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza so far in an indiscriminate Israeli attack. Most of the casualties are women and children.
