Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Beijing on July 8 on a four-day state visit. Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen told reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday. Foreign Ministry sources said that the Prime Minister will reach Beijing on July 8. On July 9, he will meet with the Prime Minister of that country Li Qiang. He will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on July 10. On the same day, Sheikh Hasina will also hold a meeting with the President of China’s Parliament, National People’s Congress of China, Zhao Leji. Apart from this, a business delegation of Bangladesh is accompanying the Prime Minister on his visit to China. They will meet with Chinese businessmen there. Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen said that the Prime Minister’s visit may lead to the signing of several memorandums of understanding between the two countries and some important announcements. Apart from this, various issues including regional cooperation, investment, Rohingya will be discussed. However, it is not yet certain whether there will be any talk about the Teesta project. Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud confirmed the Prime Minister’s visit to China on June 28. He confirmed the matter after a meeting with Liu Jianshao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, who was visiting Dhaka that day. At that time, Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said that the Prime Minister’s visit to China will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. Liu Jianshao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, said that China is waiting for Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit.
