Thunderstorms with a maximum speed of 60 km over 20 districts of the country today
The Meteorological Office is expecting thunderstorms with a maximum speed of 60 km over 20 districts of the country including the capital Dhaka. This information was given in a warning issued for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Tuesday (July 2).The warning says, south or south over Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Pabna, Rangpur, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Jessore, Kushtia, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet districts. – Temporarily gusty or gale force winds may blow from the west at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour. There may also be rain or thundershowers. Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1. Meanwhile, according to another notification of the Meteorological Office, light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur in most parts of the country till evening. Also, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Rainfall trend may continue for few days.
