Israeli soldiers were wounded in a drone attack by Hezbollah

Eighteen Israeli soldiers were injured in a drone attack by the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah in northern Israel on Sunday (June 30). The IDF claimed that the condition of the rest was not critical. The IDF also reported that in addition to the drone attack on Sunday, Hezbollah fired a heavy rocket at the Beit Hillel area. The missile hit an open area, causing no casualties or damage. Meanwhile, Hizbullah said about Sunday’s drone attack, it was a response to the attack carried out by Israeli forces in Lebanon this morning. An Israeli military facility was attacked by an explosive-laden drone. Israel carried out airstrikes on several bases of Hezbollah on Sunday morning. One Hezbollah fighter was killed and several others were injured. On October 7 of last year, when the war between the Israeli forces and Hamas, a pro-independence group in Gaza, began, Hezbollah began to attack various settlements in Israel from the next day. Attacks were limited early in the war, but Hezbollah has stepped up attacks in recent times. According to the report of the Times of Israel, 10 Israeli civilians and 15 soldiers have been killed so far in this conflict that started on October 8. Several strikes were also launched from Syria, but no casualties were reported. On the other hand, 356 Hezbollah fighters have been killed so far in Israel’s counter-attacks in Lebanon and Syria. The Israeli attack killed 65 fighters from other Lebanese armed groups, an army soldier and dozens of civilians. Israel has warned that it will no longer tolerate Hezbollah’s activities in the border area. Thousands of people have fled their homes in northern Israel due to Hezbollah’s continued rocket and drone attacks.  Israel has threatened to launch a full-scale war in Lebanon if Hezbollah does not reach a diplomatic solution. In such a situation, 7 countries have ordered their citizens to leave Lebanon. In addition, 5 other countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Jordan, Russia, and Ireland have advised their citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon.
